BEI/HEATSPONGE – Boilerroom Equipment, Inc (BEI) engineers and manufactures ASME pressure vessels for many different industries. Our primary products are for the commercial and industrial steam boiler industry. We feature standard product lines such as the HeatSponge boiler economizer, in our opinion the most modern boiler economizer marketed today.
BOSS, MAGNUM, SUPER & TITAN ECONOMIZERS:
- Compression-fit tubes for ease of maintenance with no ASME code welding required
- Removable rear door for full access to inside of unit
- Tubes, fins, and casing available in carbon and a variety of stainless steel materials for maximum flexibility in application
- Capable of both conventional and condensing operation
- Standard construction is ASME Section VIII with
- Section I available
- Inlet and outlet gas transitions integrated into the one-piece fully insulated casing provides for fast installation
- Safety Relief valve included in base price
CUSTOM CONFIGURATION ECONOMIZERS:
- For low headroom or vertical breeching applications
- Available on all Conventional HeatSponges
- We also offer side-in and top-out for watertube boilers. No support structure required and economizer and at floor level for ease of maintenance
HORIZONTAL HEATSPONGE ECONOMIZER:
- Horizontal orientations
- Bottom inlet side discharge
- Side inlet top discharge
- Two-Stage units can raise steam boiler efficiency well over 90%
- Incorporates two separate coils into a common casing allowing for the heating of two independent water circuits
- Typically feedwater in 1st stage
- Make-up/process water in 2nd stage
- Available in both “Stacked” vertical and unique-to-HeatSponge “Side-by-Side” arrangements offering maximum flexibility to footprint and structural requirements
COMBINED CYCLE HEAT EXCHANGERS:
Combined cycle heat recovery projects are an ideal application for the HeatSponge design. The fundamental geometry of the HeatSponge finned tube was designed for optimizing performance at relatively low flue gas back pressures available on most industrial boilers. This provides an ideal foundation for larger combined cycle heat recovery applications where excessive backpressure translates into reduced turbine output.
